Wireline Linear Jar Introduction

Wireline Linear Jar is designed to act like a sliding hammer, utilizing the weight of the stem located immediately above, to convey powerful jarring impacts. Upward and downward impacts (jarring actions) are achieved by controlling the direction and speed of the wireline at surface.

Wireline Linear Jar Structure Features

The Wireline Linear Jar consists of two sections that are linked together like a chain. Both halves of the jar are free to extend or collapse over a controlled stroke length. It can jar both upward and downward although the structure is simple, so it is widely used.
