In the wire work, the Wireline Shock Absorber is used to reduce the vibration transmitted to the instrument when running in.
The Wireline Shock Absorber is basically composed of a salvage neck, a cylinder, an auxiliary spring, a mandrel, a main spring, a plug cap, and a lower joint. The main spring is stronger because it has to bear the weight of its lower instrument and is in a constant compression state. The mandrel moves between the springs and absorbs shocks, thereby protecting the downhole state of the instrument.
Size | Fishing neck | upper Connection | Lower Connection |
1.25″ | 1.187″ | 15/16-10UN | 3/4-16UN |
1.5″ | 1.375″ | 15/16-10UN | 3/4-16UN |
1.75″ | 1.375″ | 15/16-10UN | 3/4-16UN |
1.875″ | 1.75″ | 15/16-10UN | 3/4-16UN |

2.5″ | 2.313″ | 15/16-10UN | 3/4-16UN |
1. When using, carefully check whether the parts are well connected and whether the mandrel can be moved, in case the shock absorber cannot be used after going down the well.
2. When not in use temporarily, apply lubricating oil to the thread and place it with a protective wire.
